Anyone heard of TooSpoiled.com???

I got a response for a Site moderator position from TooSpoiled.com.  Has anyone heard of them and what do you know about them, is it a scam?

I think there is already a discussion here on them. See http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=74874&p=3&topicID=8479517

FYI - someone told me that this company was featured on Dateline NBC for scamming young models. I do not know if this is true but I would suggest you use caution when dealing with them.

This is an email I received from toospoiled.com after I asked if they were legit:

I do understand your concerns and that is completely fine, but there is more than what meets the eye in every situation!  Do a Google search on any company nowadays from Wal-Mart to Microsoft and the first page of results sure enough will show a few hate sites or boards that collect consumer complaints.  Why is this you ask?  Good question.

999 times out of a thousand, a happy customer has no need to build a website showing how great a company or product is.  That was part of the reason he or she spent money with a company.

But an unhappy customer takes his business to the competition…at least this was what happened before the Internet became reality.   Now, with the simple click of a mouse, a disgruntled employee can accuse a company of anything he or she feels like putting into writing.  An unhappy jaded customer can create elaborate websites designed for one thing - to attack someone or something he or she feels is wrong.  These feelings may be based sometimes on fact but are most time solely the opinion of the writer.

Let’s face it, folks…not everyone loves to eat pizza.  So should a nationally recognized pizza chain be put under scrutiny because an ex-employee starts a website saying that there is “something special” in the special sauce?  Of course not, but it is often not so easy to see the truth to an obvious attack.  People have gone so far as to use computer software to alter and create phony criminal records – including photographs -  of CEO’s of companies with which they have a beef and have quite often put up forged “customer testimonials”.

People love gossip and attention. It is easy to believe wrong is being done in corporate America because references to such occurrences are on the news and television everyday. The average consumer has a pre-conceived negative attitude and easily falls victim to these websites - where disgruntled employees and consumers alike now have center stage and feel important and receive the attention they are so desperately looking for.

99.9999 % percent of all companies want and try to make consumers happy and go well beyond the norm to make the consumer experience great.  However, we are all – individuals and corporations alike - human and make mistakes.  So next time you research something on the Internet, do yourself a favor.  If you read something negative, ask yourself this - who is writing this and why?  If you do not know the person’s real name or it is on a site that makes money through advertising by posting these kinds of postings, please give that company a chance and speak to them about what you read.  Don’t cast the proverbial stone until you are certain that judgment is due.
