I don't know about this one... it looks very fishy to me. I think it may be a phony job.

What did they say to you when they called? What did the follow up email say?

Sometimes employers use third party application processing centers that may ask certain questions - in which case the job is the real deal. Other times, credit app companies and online learning institutions are just trying to get new customers. It's hard to tell the difference until we recieve feedback from someone who has applied.

So, if you have time, please give us a little more information on what the reply email or phone call was regarding.

And DONOT pay them a fee for anything, not even a credit check until we look at it first.

Thanks!

Keshia,
I still do not like the sound of this one. I believe it is a scam but do not have 100% proof. Call it a 'gut' feeling....

I believe this is a scammer who is taking advantage of people using Careerbuilder or Monster. They use real company job offers to make the system look real.

I am not sure what the scam is - if they are eventually going to ask you to purchase something, or maybe try to sell you a resume package? I can't say for sure. But at this point, I would cease dealing with them.

Please keep us posted and thanks for sharing this information with the other SOHO'ers

I have seen this before - just under a different name (sorry - I can't remember the name of the other comapny). When I googled the other company it came up as a scam. Cances are you found the job and applied via resume off of CareerBuilder.

Remove yourself from this list. simply click on I do not wish to be considered for future employment.

Thank you to SOHO jobs for being here for us to help us find real jobs. This is just one more reason that we need SOHO!

So what do I do now? Everytime I go to that site there is new infomation being adding under my name. I have change the password two time now and everytime I go to check it there is new infomation filled in under education and employment history. Now my starting to get worried.

What can they do with my resume that I sent to this place? On my resume it had my name, address and phone numbers on it. I have checked and there is no way to delet all my information from this site so I changed info and just letter in the fields.

Can anyone help? I have the number that they called me from. I called it and a recording came on then some guy pick up then hung the phone up on me.

Help:(
Keshia.

Like was said above, they got your resume from Monster or Career Builder. You have your information posted and all they have to do is pay a certain amount of money to review resumes on either of these sites. It stinks - but it is the way it works. You may also want to take your address and cell phone numbers off of your resume on these boards.

All you can do at this point is ask to be removed from their list. I would also recommed that you check your credit report in a few months (you should do this anyways, regardless of this situation). There are a few places where you can get your credit report for free on a yearly basis. It's a good habit to get into.

Thanks for your helpbiggrin. I will do that! I posted it on Career Builder.

The good things is my credit isn't that great:( so they really won't be able to get anything in my name.

Once again thankssmile
