Axis Global Telecommuting Job Services

Hi!  Does anyone have any experience with Axis Global Telecommuting Job Services?  They charge $35 for a backround check which is necessary for accepting a position.  I do not have a problem with the backround check but I think it is a money raising venture.  Thanks Cindy

It's a scam so don't bother.

They say they have "five offices across the country" and that is such bull. Trust me - don't waste your time with this. You will not get a job after you pay for the background check. In fact, after you pay the $20 - they will not even really do a background check - they will just take your $20 and then do nothing.

Axis Global Telecommuting is such a scam !!!! The person behind this site puts up other websites doing the same thing. They are here today, gone next week. It's the same old crap and a nothing but a bunch of lies.

I looked for a work at home job for a long time before I joined SOHOjobs. I never found not even ONE service that compares. They are all scams. But then I joined SOHO and got hired. So, if you are already lucky enough to be a member here - there is no other job service that you need. And you especially do not need to waste your time with scammers like Axis Global.

I hope this helps.

Oh, do I wish I would have read your post before getting involved with these people!  They called me from my online resume posting offering me a "job" as an administrative assistant paying $13.00 hr.  I didn't jump right away and they emailed me several times saying that they would pay me $18.00 hr.  BUT as mentioned here, I had to pay for a $35 background check.  Well, I did it.  Now they say the job is commission only that COULD add up to $18.00 hr or more.  I asked them for a refund on my $35 OR the results of the background check for my records.  Well, of course there was a negative response and even accused me of harrassing THEM!  Of all the nerve!  I didn't call them, and THEY were the ones emailing me several times a week.  I plan to report them to the Oklahoma BBB.  I know it won't get my $35 back, but maybe it will keep someone else from getting scammed.

I went online to the Oklahoma BBB to get the address to send a complaint about Axis. Guess what? They already have a unfavorable rating. I tried to find their website before I paid the $35 for their background check, but couldn't find this site. I wish I would have found it before and I wouldn't be out the $35.00. I will send my complaint to them anyway. The more complaints, the better chance someone else won't get scamed by them.

Yes, we all have to do our due diligence in checking the BBB regarding all companies.  Thank you once again SOHO jobs for keeping us abreast of these scammers!  However, keep in mind that not all businesses are listed with the BBB as it it very costly to small business owners.  If they are not listed with the BBB, ask them for references, check their website for testimonials and ask to speak with them.

On another note, business owners working out of their home office, should do their due diligence in having background checks done.  Background checks can be costly and that is why some companies do a chargeback to subcontractors or employees.

In today's high-tech world, we can't be too careful whether we are looking for or providing jobs!  Always, always, trust your gut instinct!  It has never failed me.

Well just to let everyone know Axis Global Services is not a scam. I signed up with them and they are trying hard to get me to start on one of their internal positions. Only thing is is it does not pay much. So I have not decided if I want to take it.

One last note on Axis. They sent me a threat via yahoo chat saying they would sue me for breach of contract if I filed a claim with the BBB. I filed the claim and so far have not received a summons. This was March 31. I signed on to yahoo chat for the first time since then this week. They had the nerve to pop up "hi". I closed the chat and blocked them. They may not be a "scam" as LFdluc says, however they have very poor business ethics and misrepresent the work they offer.

I paid the 35 for background check, I did get an internal job. I started asking questions in messenger and they quit answering. I worked for several days a few hours a day, kept asking questions and again they would quit talking..sometimes even going offline. I thought they were legit but something kept bothering me. i went to bbb and only found one complaint about them on March 31st. Long story short i had to be offline a few days because i switched to dsl and it messed my phones and everything up. When i got everything fixed i wrote them and have not heard a word from them. I dont go into messenger cuz they may be legit but wont answer any questions about the job you may have. Good luck with job search. I am new as of today.

oh and Axis has changed their name as of last week. They are now Axis Global Client Referral Services. This was the biggest thing that steered me away is the site looks like a scam type site now.
