ASI/National Healthcare Discount is not a scam. Many people are currently working from home for them and have been for many years. The problem is - this offer is NOT FOR EVERYONE. Some people love them, others really hate them.
I know of at least one SOHO'er who has been with NHCD for more than four years and loves it, and makes very good money. I know others who only worked for them for less than two weeks because they didn't make a dime.
Like many other work at home opportunities - NHCD will be what you make it. Those that enjoy this type of work, are willing to put in the effort, learn the ropes and really REALLY work at it and stick with it will do well. But if its not your cup of tea then it will be a waste of your time and money.
Hello, regarding ASI, I signed up and paid $29 then I started "training". I didn't enjoy it because they wanted me to look for "leads". They wanted me to give out flyers. The flyers stated to join their healthcare program. It is not an insurance. They also wanted me to recruit more people to "work at home". I asked my manager. "If this is a work at home job then why do I have to physically go out and recruit people by posting flyers". She wouldn't respond to me. I then canceled with them. I was charged by my bank twice $12 for 2 months the "phone" fee. I called again to cancel and they gave me a 1800 # to call to cancel. Again the following month the charge showed up. I then called again to cancel and to speak to a supervisior. They gave me the run around. So I learned my lesson. Never pay for something up front. Any job will hire you and not charge you to work for them. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!
I spoke with someone from ASI today for a phone interview. The thing that worries me is that she said I have to pay 89.95 to start, then I get back 77 dollars and the rest goes to some phone code to call long distance. I asked if there were any other charges and she hesitated and said yes 12 something a month for the phone code. I asked if it came out of my check and she said yes and then said she didn't know and didn't remember if it came out of my check or my bank? I looked them up and found bad things about them, but there are bad things about just about everything posted on the net. I got this job from a soho list. I won't pay until I have some kind of proof that they are legit.
I am fairly new to SoHo, but from everything I have read the first thing you tell us is that we should not have to pay any money to these people in order to be hired. Now, I read this and you say it is not a scam but this person lost money from a company with whom I would never want to do business. I am confused here.
